What is a Christian Convert? According to the EXPANDED EDITION-NEW WEBSTER'S DICTIONARY:
Convert: To change from one state, use, religion, or party to another; to turn from a bad life to a good; to interchange conversely. One who has changed his opinion, practice, or religion.
(Where is Jesus Christ in this?) People change their minds all the time, which means nothing!
Now, look at the definition from Webster's for the word Disciple.
Disciple: A learner, a pupil; an adherent to the doctrines of another.
(Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit is responsibile for those who will become a disciple of Him.) Jesus told His apostle and disciples, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you ..." (Matthew 28.19-20, NIV).
This is the work of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, without the work of the Holy Spirit no one can possibly become a Disciple.
The passage did not tell us to go and make Converts of all nations. I heard today on a Christian radio station that millions of Muslins and other people in many nations were be converted to Christanity. When the instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ are not followed, the result is not Disciples but only Christan want to be's.
When you buy a copy of Inter Moments with God, the book or the e-book, you will be able to see for yourselves the difference between this to concepts. I try to share with people the will of Jesus Christ and not someone's opinion.
In Him,
George White
